Garmin's updated
mountable mapping GPS is the worthy successor to the popular
GPSMAP 176C. While the 276C has internal LiON batteries and a
sensitive quad helix antenna for handheld use, it's large screen
and keypad make it equally at home as a fixed mount GPS. Using the
latest in display technology (like that found in the iQue), the
276C is ideal on board your boat, when driving in an unfamiliar
area, or carried on vacation in a backpack. While driving, the
276C displays a map of your surrounding area with great detail,
allows you to call up addresses and businesses, and quickly
provides a route to your destination using spoken guidance. While
boating, the crisp 320 x 480 color display shows optional
BlueChart map data, with shorelines, navigation aides, and depths
shown in great detail.
