Company Profile

Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the high-tech Silicon Valley nearby, Davis Instruments handles all customer service, product development, and manufacturing and assembly on site. Founded in 1963 by Bill Davis, it was purchased six years later by Bob Selig and Jim Acquistapace. At the time, the company offered just thirteen products — including innovative plastic sextants and yachting speedometers. Today, we manufacture and sell several hundred distinct items, all offering unique solutions to everyday problems. You'll find our products in use around the world, from Europe to Asia, and from far northern Alaska to the tip of South America. And you'll find them used by boaters, meteorologists, educators, moms and dads, farmers, truck drivers, and more. Whoever you are, chances are there's a Davis product just for you.
