Solar Vents
Nicro Solar Vents help give your boat the continuous ventilation it needs,
rain or shine, whether you’re on the boat or not. Solar cells power the fans
for efficient, active ventilation. They are designed to move air into or out
of your boat and at the same time, keep water from entering. Their
unobtrusive, low profile projects just 2-3/8" above the surface which,
compared to cowl-style ventilators, minimizes the possibility of lines getting
snagged. Proper ventilation is the key component to preventing the growth of
mold, mildew and fungi and the damage they can cause to interior fabrics,
electronics and metal components. Most every boat with a cabin will benefit
from the installation of one or more Solar Vents.
Day/Night Plus Vents
The improved design of Day/Night Plus Vents moves up to 1000 cubic feet per
hour, freshening your cabin 24/7 by running on solar power during the day,
while charging a small battery to run at night—keeping mold and mildew at
bay. They easily retrofit to existing 3" or 4" Nicro vent cutouts.
Direct-to-deck mounting affords greater security and protection against theft. Each includes an insect screen, below-decks shut off damper and internal on/off switch. Two blades (exhaust and intake) are provided with each vent. Install a pair of these to create efficient cross ventilation.
