Self-tailing winches with the ANDERSEN name are supremely trustworthy, allowing you to focus on sailing. All ANDERSEN Winches feature stainless steel Power Rib drums that ensure a smooth surface and a corrosion-free winch that is built to last.

    ANDERSEN Self-Tailing Winches  extend the service life of your sheets and halyards and the winch itself, since the Power Rib and the smooth surface of the drum require fewer turns compared to other winches. In addition, the self-tailing device is designed to accommodate a number of different of sheet and halyard sizes - enabling the winch to serve many different purposes and providing you with a range of products to choose from, no matter what you sail. A special option for ANDERSEN Winches is a choice of having your own winch titanium-coated in bronze or brass, whichever matches your classic boat. This means that the surface of your ANDERSEN Winch will never show wear and tear

     

    Andersen winches feature Andersen's famous Power Rib drum surface that generates horizontal friction and provides extra grip, reducing the number of turns required compared to other drum designs. The highly polished smooth surface of the drum ensures the long life of sheets and halyards, minimizes the risk of jamming, so the rope slides easily up the drum.

    • Weighs the same or less than aluminum winches of similar size
    • Self-tailing system adjusts automatically to varying rope diameters
    • Self-tailing arms are curved to give a fair lead, so friction is minimized
    • Pawls are made from unbreakable cold pressed 316 stainless steel bar
    • Aluminum bronze base plates are twice as strong as standard bronze, giving a light, stiff and strong construction for increased winch efficiency
    • Winches of size 6 - 12 have one gear, size 16 - 46 two gears
