Tarpon fishing is also available during the summer season. Come aboard and enjoy the beautiful scenery of backwater mangroves and all the abundant marine wildlife.
If your idea of a great time is wading up on a sunning snook, tossing a live pilchard in front of his nose and watching the water explode with the striking snook attacking the bait, then give us a call. Being a native of Florida, I have spent many hours on the waters of Tampa Bay and would love to share my knowledge of the marine environment with you and your guests.
There are few things that compare to the anticipation of a school of redfish pushing a wake right toward you as you stand ready to place the bait in their path. As the bait dances frantically on top of the water trying to escape the coming reds, the scream of the drag and bend of the rod reveals it was too late for the escapee. Now the predator turns to prey as you fight to not let him escape!
During the summer months large adult tarpon arrive in Tampa Bay from their wintering grounds to the south. This is prime time for battle with these silver kings. Free-lining large threadfin herring around structure with good current will ensure frequent hook-ups. The frantic jumps of these silver Goliaths will cause quite a frantic jumping in your own chest.
