It's easy - one person can install this portable unit in a couple of minutes with no special tools. Just place the lightweight Carry-On unit over an open hatch, adjust the fabric hood snugly over the opening, plug it in, and turn it on - that's all there is to it. Pulls hot, moist air from your boat and pumps out7,000 Btus of cool, dry relief. It cools and dehumidifies by recirculating inside air, and the fabric hood seals in the cool air while keeping out insects and rain. You can set and adjust the fan speed and thermostat from inside the cabin. When you leave the dock, it stows easily below deck, in your dockside locker, or in the trunk of your car. It runs on normal dockside 115vAC power and draws just six amps while operating. Designed and built for long life and trouble-free performance in the harsh salt-air environment, all components are made of corrosion-resistant materials, while the outside case is built of a tough, durable polymer. Hood secures to the unit with shock cord. Features two carrying handles; underside control panel with a five-position control switch (off, low fan, high fan, low cool, and high cool); adjustable leg; return and discharge air ducts; built-in level; short male AC power lead; and extremely flexible battens that give give the unit a basic rectangular shape at deck level. (An extension cord, not included, will be needed - minimum 14-gauge recommended, as short a length as possible.) Minimum hatch dimension is 12" square.
