Aluminum coating "self-heals" from scratches and provides unmatched protection in abrasive shallow water use. Special lower copper, low corrosion alloy in all cast metal components. Stainless steel fasteners, coated to further protect from galvanic corrosion. Anodized aluminum mount components remove threat of galvanic corrosion. Three blade, weed free Machete III prop, designed by Mercury Propeller, features tapered hub and goes shallower, faster and quieter. DIGITAL AND DS SERIES: Features Digital Guardian, a self contained, sealed module in the lower unit controlling speed and monitoring vital motor components together in one protected location, eliminating sonar interference. Modules are impervious to heat, moisture, corrosion and shock.
