CAST is the sport and tournament version of the Virtual Lifeline. CAST provides increased safety for all team members by sounding an alarm and shutting down your engine if you go overboard. It's a wireless kill-switch that frees sport and tournament anglers from the limiting constraints of a standard lanyard, providing today's competitive anglers with an indispensable edgeup to 40 additional casts over a tournament day compared to their tether-bound competitors. This wireless solution eliminates hitch and un-hitch time, accidental disconnects and annoying entanglements. Solo boaters will feel confident knowing that CAST reduces the dangers associated with a runaway boat.
CAST consists of two transmitters, about the size of a watch, and ignition control module that is easily installed. The transmitter can be worn in a variety of ways, such as pinned to a PFD, attached to a belt loop, etc. CAST is activated when the operator and/or passenger is ejected into the water and the transmitter becomes submerged. Once submerged, the transmitter will activate the control module, sound an alarm and automatically shut off the engine.
In the event you have to conduct a rescue, simply press the "Rescue Mode On" button, allowing you to restart your motor and retrieve the victim. Once the victim is safely onboard, press the "Rescue Mode Off" button, which will reactivate the safety feature.
