STEERING HELMS
|
|
With the E.Z. Steer System, you can safely and easily steer your auxiliary outboard engine from your boat's main wheel... even if one is raised or tilted. It lets you pilot your "kicker" with an unrestricted view of what's ahead. You'll no longer have to hang over the transom to steer your auxiliary through stormy weather, and you won't be in the way of the fishing action, either!
For safety and convenience, EZ Steer really works!

The only self-adjusting steering system to attach two outboards or a stern drive to an auxiliary. There is no need to disconnect the rod to independently raise or lower either unit. There are no holes to drill in any engine for installation and all hardware supplied is stainless steel. Brackets are stainless steel dipped in black vinyl to prevent scratching the engines. Quick connectors are brass with stainless steel balls and spring. The self-adjusting rod is stainless steel with brass and "Dupont Delrin" ball joints, which easily attach to the quick connectors.
EZ Safety
One of the most common boating accidents is damage to the main propeller. When this happens you don't want to run the engine any longer - this could cause more damage and costly repairs. So you need to use the auxiliary engine to get everyone home safely.
With the EZ Steer System, you can safely and easily steer your auxiliary outboard engine from your boat's main wheel... even if one is raised or tilted.
EZ Steer:
Increases safety and convenience
Lets you steer your auxiliary engine from your boat's main wheel
No more steering while hanging over the transom with a restricted view
The patented self-adjusting, stainless steel rod attaches between your boat's main and auxiliary engines
There is no need to disconnect the unit to make a main power run
It's the only self-adjusting auxiliary steering rod
Perfect for hassle-free trolling and boating
The E.Z. Steer system has a patented, self-adjusting stainless steel rod that attaches between your boat's main and auxiliary engines. The system makes your auxiliary engine mimic the movements of your main engine, so you can steer your auxiliary from the main wheel. There is no need to disconnect the rod, it will self-adjust and steer the auxiliary engine as long as you can steer your main engine... even if one is raised or tilted.

Each full kit consists of:
Main Bracket assembly
Small Outboard Bracket Assembly
All Necessary Hardware and Self-Adjusting Rod
The rod will self-adjust by the built-in turn stops on your engines. When both units are down and straight ahead, the rod will be at its shortest measurement. With the auxiliary motor in the raised position, the rod will extend the first time the main unit is turned away. Then as the main unit turns back and forth, the auxiliary unit will follow the main unit. (The auxiliary engine must be free to follow the main unit at all times.) When the auxiliary engine is lowered, the rod will shorten the first time the unit is turned towards it. Once again, the auxiliary engine will follow the main unit back and forth.
Made in the USA, the units feature Dupont Delrin ball joints with brass inserts for rust resistance. To further prevent corrosion, all mounting brackets are vinyl coated stainless steel. The system also comes with a full one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
